Two boats run aground and break free from their moorings
xCruzo Brief
Two small boats ran aground after becoming detached from their moorings in Keyhaven on Saturday, August 29. The Lymington Lifeboat was paged by Solent Coastguard at 2:37pm following the report and located both vessels. A spokesperson said the crews confirmed no one was on board either boat and there was no immediate danger to life. Because of the tide conditions and the boats’ positions, it was not considered safe for the lifeboat to approach closely enough to secure them or deploy an anchor safely. With no further assistance needed, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, arriving back alongside at 4:05pm.
