Two Former Chiefs Tackles Set to Battle Out For NFC West RT Job

Two former Kansas City Chiefs tackles are set to battle for the starting right tackle job in the NFC West, as Atlanta and Kansas City reconfigure their lines for 2026. The Chiefs traded Wanya Morris to the Falcons for a sixth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-rounder, following Kaleb McGary’s retirement that left Atlanta shorthanded at right tackle. The Falcons then signed Jawaan Taylor to a one-year, $5 million deal, combining with Morris to create a high-stakes camp competition. Taylor started 111 games for KC, far more than Morris’s 15, and the depth chart also features Jaylon Moore and rookie Esa Pole.
