Whether It Be Romantic Lead or Writer-Director, Jack Martin's Ready to Tackle Whatever Role Comes Next
Jack Martin says he was drawn to Hulu’s “Not Suitable For Work” the moment it was announced, even as his early career choices diverged from the corporate path he saw around him in New York’s Murray Hill. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter via Zoom, the 27-year-old actor explained that he found a niche on TikTok by creating satirical sketches about the corporate world, before landing a role on the Friends-like comedy. Martin plays Josh Teitelbaum, joining Will Angus and Nicholas Duvernay among a group of young people living and working in New York. Mindy Kaling, who leads the series, described his audition as thoughtful and polite. Martin also said Angus was booked for another part first, prompting surprise when they learned they were friends. He added that a potential season two would likely bring them to live together.
