Kahlil Benson had been a standout at Kansas City’s training camp, earning first-team reps at right tackle since the second day of the summer. That momentum stalled Saturday when he made his first NFL start at right tackle in a preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The undrafted rookie from Indiana was repeatedly beaten by rookie Rueben Bain Jr., with the poor performances spreading across social media. While Bain is a first-round pick and one of this class’s top pass rushers, Benson faces more capable edge threats in the AFC West. Kansas City is expected to return veteran Jaylon Moore to the right side, but all three of the team’s tackles posted the worst PFF grades on the roster.
