Why Kevin Durant completely missed Mat Ishbia's point about championship culture - CBS Sports

Kevin Durant pushed back hard after Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia said, on CNBC, that signing “super talented players like Kevin Durant” doesn’t automatically translate to championships. Durant posted on social media with the hashtag “#blameKD,” referencing his own performance in Phoenix and reacting to what he felt was a criticism of him. Ishbia responded that Durant wasn’t the target of the remark and argued the Suns are building the right “culture” and focus. The full context: Ishbia said the trade for Durant didn’t match his vision and that he later reshaped the roster and staff, pointing to “Suns DNA” moving forward.
