Wide reciver Jauan Jennings reportedly nixed 49ers-Vikings trade agreement in bizarre fashion
The San Francisco 49ers reportedly had Jauan Jennings lined up as a potential reunion target, but the wide receiver shut it down. FOX Sports reporter Jay Glazer said on Sunday’s pregame show that a trade agreement between the 49ers and Minnesota Vikings was contingent on Jennings taking a FaceTime call with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch and confirming he wanted to return to San Francisco. Glazer reported Jennings “didn’t pick up the phone,” and told the Vikings he wanted to stay in Minnesota. Jennings signed a one-year free-agent deal worth up to $13 million in the offseason after six seasons with the 49ers. Through five games in 2026, he has four catches on eight targets for 43 yards. The 49ers added Deebo Samuel, Dre Greenlaw, and traded for DeForest Buckner, but Jennings remains unavailable, at least for now.
