Mercedes-Benz CLA 350 EV defies its EPA rating with a remarkable real-world range, signaling strong efficiency for a luxury electric sedan. Edmunds tested the all-new CLA 350 4Matic dual-motor, achieving 385 miles on a full charge, far surpassing the EPA rating of 312 miles by 73 miles. The single-motor CLA 250+ also impressed, with a separate test recording 434 miles. Efficiency matched the range gains, as the EPA estimates around 29 kWh per 100 miles for the CLA 350, while Edmunds measured 25.7 kWh/100 miles. Charging performance was robust, with peak DC charging reaching 349 kW and an average around 168 kW, underscoring Mercedes’ emphasis on aerodynamics and battery management to maximize real-world usability.
