Alonso is too quick to retire, says Aston Martin's Krack

Aston Martin’s Krack said Fernando Alonso is “too quick” to retire, as the Spaniard approaches the end of his contract at the end of this season. Mike Krack, Aston Martin’s chief trackside officer, told reporters ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix that Alonso plans to decide around the summer break. Krack argued Alonso should not stop because he still has the pace to compete at the front. Aston Martin are currently struggling in their first year under a new engine partnership with Honda, sitting 10th of 11 teams after seven rounds and scoring only one point. Alonso has that point, with his teammate Lance Stroll, a Canadian.
