Ann-Margret still chasing speed at 85, says she's never once been scared on a bike

Ann-Margret, still chasing speed at age 85, is partnering with Julien’s Auctions to sell selected personal memorabilia and fashion items starting June 23. The auction includes cherished keepsakes, household goods, and glamorous Bob Mackie-designed costumes, with a highlight being her custom 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 Hugger. The motorcycle, decorated with a mauve-and-daisy design, was ridden by the actress for more than 20 years. When asked what riding represents, Ann-Margret told Fox News Digital that it means “Freedom” and said she still rides happily today. She said she has never once been scared on a bike and referenced learning to ride in Sweden with help from an uncle who owned a motorcycle. The sale also features an ivory-and-orange gown she wore on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1963 and later again while singing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
