Arrests after biker dies in four-vehicle crash
Two drivers were arrested after a motorcyclist died in a four-vehicle crash near Hook, Hampshire, on the A287 Farnham Road close to Crondall shortly after 19:40 BST on Saturday. Hampshire Police said the man, in his 50s from Thames Ditton, Surrey, died at the scene, while a second motorcyclist, a man in his 30s from Farnham, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The BMW X3 driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and drug driving. The campervan driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing death by dangerous driving. Both were released under investigation pending further inquiries, police said. Authorities said the campervan was traveling westbound while the two motorbikes and the BMW were moving eastbound. Police are seeking witnesses and any dashcam footage from before the collision.
