Arrow McLaren re-signs multiyear deal with Chevrolet ahead of critical IndyCar shift
Arrow McLaren has re-signed a multiyear deal with Chevrolet, confirming the engine supplier for the team as IndyCar moves into its next technical era. The extension keeps Arrow McLaren aligned with Chevrolet through 2028, even as the team’s driver lineup changes in 2027 with Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist joining Pato O’Ward. IndyCar’s new technical package arrives in 2028 with the Dallara IR28 chassis and a new 2.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which Chevrolet and Honda are still developing under technical-regulation talks; testing is expected to begin in the coming months. Team principal Tony Kanaan said the relationship is “strongest it's ever been.” The article notes Arrow McLaren’s recent results: in 2026, it had the top-finishing Chevrolet car in 11 of 18 races, including three wins for O’Ward and two for Christian Lundgaard. The team also has 14 Chevrolet wins, 54 podiums, and 13 poles.
