Arsonist who crashed car in police chase after Slough fire jailed
xCruzo Brief
Krzysztof Orzechowski, 32, has been jailed after setting fire to two cars that spread to a family home in Slough, Berkshire, on 9 March. Prosecutors said the arson forced the family to flee. Six days later, Orzechowski led police on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of up to 100mph on winding roads before losing control of his car on a corner. He was not injured and was arrested. Orzechowski, of no fixed address, admitted arson with intent to endanger life and driving a motor vehicle dangerously. He received a five-year seven-month sentence, with an extended period of three years, at Reading Crown Court last week.
