Audi Reveals Which Models It Plans To Build In America
xCruzo Brief
Audi plans to build its biggest SUVs in the United States through a new $4 billion factory in Georgia, with construction starting in 2027 and production targeted for the early 2030s. The investment still depends on approvals from Volkswagen Group committees. Near Macon, the plant would produce up to 200,000 vehicles annually and is expected to create about 4,500 jobs, with roughly half headed to the U.S. market. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said the Georgia lineup will be the Q7, Q8, and Q9. The Q9, aimed at full-size rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, will follow refreshed versions likely before launch. While Q7 and Q9 come from Bratislava, Q8 will also be sourced there initially.
