Aussie stays with Yamaha for Superbikes switch after MotoGP door closes

Jack Miller’s departure from MotoGP is now official, with the Australian signing a two-year deal with Yamaha for World Superbikes in 2027-28. Announced ahead of the latest MotoGP round at Aragon, Miller, 31, will replace Spanish rider Xavi Vierge at Pramac Yamaha. He will partner Italian Andrea Locatelli, while Japanese rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga remains in the lineup. The duo and Nakasuga finished second at the Suzuka 8-Hour endurance race in Japan in 2025-26. Miller said he is excited to move to the R1, after previously racing Yamaha for two seasons. His first WSBK round at home is set for Phillip Island, Feb 19-21, 2027.
