Band's shock over stolen van in A46 police chase crash

A police chase crash on the A46 in Leicester has drawn attention after reports revealed that a stolen van involved in the incident belonged to a pop-bhangra act. In the early hours of 29 June, a Mercedes van being pursued by police on the wrong side of the A46 collided with a BMW 1 Series and then caught fire. The BMW driver was taken to hospital. Niks Rogacs, 26, from Leicester, was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, theft of a vehicle and driving without insurance. The outlet said the van itself was owned by Masti Band and had been carrying “priceless” drums. The case connects the crash details with the band’s property, following the singer’s shock at learning the van was stolen.
