Batman's bike could be yours, if you have a spare $1.2 million

Batman’s Batpod is set to go under the hammer in London as part of a movie memorabilia auction, with an estimate of up to £900,000 (about $1.2 million). The stunt-style motorcycle appeared in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), starring Christian Bale as Batman. It’s being sold by Propstore Auction, and was designed by Nolan with production designer Nathan Crowley and brought to life by Academy Award-winning special effects artist Chris Korvold. Known as “The Beast,” it uses a 750cc Honda engine and 31-inch tires. Online bidding opens Thursday and closes December 4.
