Best used car of the year announced - and it's not a Ford or Kia
xCruzo Brief
Auto Express has named the Hyundai Ioniq 5 as Britain’s best used car, pointing to its range, styling, cabin technology, and the possibility of remaining warranties. The magazine says prices start around £13,000, following the model’s 2021 launch, and highlights that all versions can comfortably exceed 200 miles on a charge, including rear-wheel-drive single-motor variants. It also notes that many Ioniq 5 cars may still have part of a five-year manufacturer warranty. The report links demand for used electrics to fuel costs: RAC data from 21 October put petrol at about 174.04p per litre and diesel at 199.05p, with diesel averaging 200.01p and surpassing the £2 threshold.
