Bezos quip, Ive design shaped Ferrari's Luce EV, Elkann says

A decade ago, Jeff Bezos’ conversation with Ferrari chairman John Elkann helped set the project in motion for Ferrari’s first fully electric model, the Luce. Speaking at a panel during the Wave technology conference in Turin, Elkann said Bezos urged him to “think hard” about building an EV, despite not knowing cars. The Luce, unveiled in May, was developed with design chief Jony Ive and his LoveFrom team, drawing criticism over its unconventional styling and questions from investors about Ferrari’s electrification bet. Ive said LoveFrom spent about a year researching Ferrari before design began and rejected touchscreen-heavy trends, emphasizing physical controls and tactile feedback.
