Biker killed in crash with car on A70 at Lanark named

Police in Scotland have named the motorbike rider killed in a crash with a car on the A70 near Lanark. The victim, 57-year-old James Gray, died after his black Suzuki GSX-R collided with a silver Renault Master van at about 15:20 on 24 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A statement from his family described the death of their dad, grandpops, brother, partner, and others, saying they are “heartbroken” by the sudden loss. Through Police Scotland, they also paid tribute to Gray as “the joker,” known for wit and for always expressing what he thought. The family added that he loved singing and dancing at home.
