A biker was killed in a Snake Pass crash in the Peak District, and his family said he was “loved by so many.” Matthew Beetenson, 39, from Sheffield, died in a collision involving only him while riding a Honda motorbike on the A57 Snake Pass. He was pronounced dead at the scene near the A6013 turn-off for Bamford shortly before 12:00 BST on Saturday 20 June. The family’s tribute, released through Derbyshire Police, thanked people for condolences and described the impact Beetenson had on others. The article notes that the route had been closed for ground investigation works until 3 July but reopened temporarily for the weekend, when the crash happened.
