Billy Joel will auction off more than 70 motorcycles from his collection through Gooding & Christie’s in November, giving fans a chance to buy models he owned. The sale comes because the 77-year-old singer was recently diagnosed with NPH (normal pressure hydrocephalus), which causes fluid buildup in the brain and can affect balance and cognition, making riding unsafe. Joel’s lineup includes motorcycles from BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Triumph and Yamaha. While many of the bikes are vintage and may bring higher maintenance costs, the auction also reportedly includes some more modern models that could be easier to own.
