BMW's MS CS is all the rage

BMW’s M2 CS is positioned as a track-ready upgrade in the M2 line, combining lightweight construction with a 523-hp twin-turbo inline-six. In a test of the rear-wheel-drive model, the writer notes a 100-pound weight reduction through carbon fiber parts including a roof panel, trunk lid, mirror caps and rear diffuser, alongside 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged gold wheels. The CS also drops sound-deadening material and can be ordered with $8,500 ceramic brakes for additional savings. Performance highlights include a 0–60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a reported quarter-mile of 11.3 seconds at 128 mph.
