Bust: VW Delays The ID Buzz's U.S. Comeback To 2028 Model Year - Jalopnik

Volkswagen has pushed the U.S. return of the ID Buzz to the 2028 model year, extending the pause after the brand pulled the van for 2026. Jalopnik reports that Volkswagen previously planned a 2027 restart, citing updates such as new paint options, more physical buttons, a NACS charging option, and a Tourer trim. That plan is now scrapped, with Volkswagen instead saying it will bring the ID Buzz back in 2028 with additional changes including new software, vehicle-to-load functionality, and digital key integration. The ID Buzz went on sale in the U.S. in November 2024 after being built in Germany, but has faced high pricing, tariffs, and multiple recalls.
