Carmakers And Mobility Firms Return As CES Gears Up With Auto Sector
CES 2027 in Las Vegas is set to become a major show for cars and mobility, with organizers expecting automakers and suppliers to fill about 350,000 square feet at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At a preview in Detroit on Nov. 2, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) said the expanded footprint will spotlight autonomous vehicles, AI, electrification, and connected cars, alongside aviation, marine, drones, and industrial technology. Ford returns for the first time since 2020, while Stellantis and China’s Geely will also participate; Uber will display for the first time. Waymo and Stellantis executives—Tekedra Mawakana and Antonio Filosa—are scheduled for keynote addresses, and test tracks will showcase connected vehicle features. The CTA described AI as the dominant theme as exhibitors demonstrate software-driven vehicle systems.
