Carrie' and 10 More Things to Watch on TV This Week

This week’s TV slate runs from new adaptations to music and travel-in-space suspense, spanning streaming and cable outlets through Oct. 11. On Amazon Prime Video, a modern reimagining of Stephen King’s “Carrie” arrives, adapted by Mike Flanagan, starring Summer H. Howell as Carrie White, alongside the familiar themes of trauma, bullies and a prom with no set date. Apple TV+ streams “Small Prophets,” set around Manchester, England, where a man at a home improvement store turns to alchemy to find his missing wife. Disney+ and Hulu get “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger,” covering Noel and Liam Gallagher’s reunion tour heading into 2025. MGM+ begins “Treasure Island,” with Tom Sweet and Hayley Atwell.
