Carson Hocevar Text Leaves Dale Earnhardt Jr. With No Choice but to Admit He Was Wrong

Carson Hocevar settled an argument on The Dale Jr. Download with a text message that led Dale Earnhardt Jr. to concede he was wrong about the cause of Hocevar’s crash at Kansas Speedway on Sunday. The debate, featuring spotter TJ Majors, centered on whether a push from Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford triggered contact with Ty Gibbs at Lap 122 on a restart. Hocevar’s No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet also collected Bubba Wallace, Zane Smith, Josh Berry, and Erik Jones. Earnhardt said the bump unsettled Hocevar; Majors pointed to Hocevar’s own description. Hocevar texted, “I turned right… You were right. I was wrong,” and Earnhardt admitted, “I was fooled.”
