Caruso carries Healey Memorial lead into Round 2 Saturday

Nick Caruso leads after Round 1 of the 2026 Joseph F. Healey Memorial Golf Tournament at Bradford Country Club, setting up a potentially competitive Round 2. The tournament features a 54-hole format, with Round 1 on Friday and Round 2 at Atkinson Resort and Country Club on Saturday. Caruso, from Merrimack Valley Golf Club, posted a three-under-par 68 to take sole possession of the lead, including a run of three birdies and an eagle on holes 10–15 and a 32 on the back nine. George Zolotas of Kernwood Country Club was the only other player to break par with a 69, finishing one shot behind. Jake Morgan (Andover), playing after his freshman season at Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Turner Wegener (Bradford CC) were even par at 71, while five players were tied at 72. Round 2 tee times begin at 9:10 a.m., with a defined starting schedule listed through late morning.
