Cleetus McFarland buys Pro Late Model to work on racecraft

Cleetus McFarland, whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, has bought his own Pro Late Model after encouragement from Dale Earnhardt Jr. and others. In a recent YouTube video, he unveiled the No. 33 Rette Jones Racing Pro Late Model and said it will help him fine-tune his racecraft as he moves up the NASCAR ladder. He completed a full day of testing at Tri-County Speedway, with a minor spin during the session. His next plan includes an upcoming late model event at Berlin Raceway in Michigan and additional races at the Freedom Factory, a 3/8-mile oval he owns in Florida. He also set his sights on a Truck Series start at Talladega on October 23.
