Clemson DT Vic Burley suspended after arrest

Clemson Tigers senior defensive tackle Vic Burley has been suspended indefinitely after an arrest early Saturday morning, coach Dabo Swinney announced. Swinney said Burley was charged with disorderly conduct following an arrest by the Clemson University Police Department, and the coach added that the program is “extremely disappointed” by Burley’s actions. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Burley, a former five-star recruit from Warner Robins, Georgia, recorded 15 tackles last season. He has played 267 defensive snaps across 21 career games and was expected to play a significant role on Clemson’s defensive line. Clemson opens its season Sept. 5 at No. 11 LSU.
