Dead after three-vehicle crash involving motorcycle

A fatal three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle is under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Georgetown Post. The incident occurred Monday morning just before 9:30 a.m. on State Route 32 near the intersection of U.S. 62 in Brown County, according to a spokesperson. Authorities said 28-year-old Charles Rump was riding a Yamaha FZ6 when he struck a Volvo stopped in the left lane at a red light. Rump then hit a Chevrolet 6500HD truck waiting at the same signal in the right lane before coming to a stop. Rump was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time, he was wearing a DOT helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
