Deadly shooting in Wawa parking lot in Toms River, N.J. under investigation, prosecutors say

New Jersey prosecutors are investigating a deadly shooting in the parking lot of a Wawa in Toms River. The incident was reported around 7:20 a.m. Friday at the convenience store on the corner of Route 37 and Garfield Avenue, prosecutors said. Chopper 2 video showed police tape around a pickup truck and multiple law enforcement vehicles at the scene. Prosecutors said it’s unclear what led up to the shooting, and no additional details were immediately provided.
