Driver in his 60s dies after two-car M1 crash

A fatal crash on the M1 in Leicestershire killed a man in his 60s after a two-car collision, according to police. Officers were called at 08:00 BST on Sunday following reports of a red Ford Focus and a grey BMW 5 Series just north of junction 20 near Lutterworth. The driver of the Focus was taken to hospital but later died on Tuesday, Leicestershire Police said. The BMW driver, also in his 60s, sustained injuries described as not life-threatening or life-changing. Police said the investigation into the fatal collision is continuing and asked for anyone with information, including motorists with dashcam footage, to come forward.
