Evolution Auto highlights importance of TOPS Power Score in NextGen EVs

Evolution Auto says the next wave of electric vehicles is increasingly defined by computing power as automakers move toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The company highlights TOPS as a consumer-facing metric for AI capability, explaining that Trillion Operations Per Second reflects the theoretical processing capacity of a vehicle’s AI system. Its portfolio ranges from 48 TOPS in the XPENG L03 to 100 TOPS in the AVATR 07, which the company describes as the highest TOPS score among SUVs in Sri Lanka. Evolution Auto’s spokesperson Nuran Silva adds that higher TOPS doesn’t guarantee better real-world performance, since outcomes depend on software optimization, sensor design, thermal management, and platform architecture.
