Florida Keys man drove drunk with unbuckled child, threatened to sexually assault deputy's family, MCSO says

A Florida Keys man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he drove drunk with a child in his pickup on Big Pine Key. Jamie Allan Koval, 38, of Big Pine Key, was found on Key Deer Boulevard shortly after authorities received a welfare check Wednesday evening, prompted by reports that he had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana while in the custody of a 6-year-old. The child was in the truck and not wearing a seatbelt, and Koval allegedly refused field sobriety tests. Deputies say he also used threatening language toward the deputy and threatened to harm the deputy’s family.
