xCruzo Brief
Elon Musk used a SpaceX facility in Texas on Thursday, October 15, to unveil Tesla’s next-generation Roadster with a demo meant to look like a flying car. The vehicle, demonstrated without a driver inside, moved upside down, rode up a curved ramp using a suction system to stay attached, then launched into the air, rotated, and landed again using specially designed thrusters. Musk said it showed “the future does have flying cars.” Tesla also showed jumps over multiple parked Teslas, including a Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck. The company said the Roadster can hit 60 mph in 0.81 seconds, and uses cold-gas thrusters and 10 nozzles.
