Ford announces 3 different recalls impacting a combined 45K vehicles
Ford has announced three separate recalls totaling 45K vehicles across different model lines and component issues. In the first recall, 30,123 trucks—2026 and 2027 F-150, 2026 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD—may have a left-side tailgate cable that can fail under heavy loads, allowing the tailgate to fall onto the rear bumper. Owners may receive no warning messages. Dealers will replace the cable, with fixes not expected until January 2027 and owner notifications beginning Dec. 14. A second recall covers 11,623 2026–2027 Nautilus Hybrid and 2027 Corsair Hybrid vehicles that could shift into neutral while driving due to park lock actuator corrosion. A third recall involves 3,376 ABS modules with specific part numbers that may be incorrectly programmed, affecting ABS function and brake balance.
