Gasoline prices continue downward trend in northern West Virginia, south central Ohio

Gasoline prices in northern West Virginia and south central Ohio continued a downward trend this week, according to regional averages reported for multiple towns. Marietta averaged $4.168 per gallon of regular unleaded on Monday, down from $4.383 the previous week. In Athens, the average fell from $4.357 last week to $4.185 this week. East Liverpool registered the lowest price in the region at $3.708, while Parkersburg averaged $3.914 and Wheeling averaged $3.77 in northern West Virginia. Martinsburg was the area low at $3.407, compared with last week’s $3.468. The report also notes that the national average electricity price at public EV charging stations fell by one cent to 41 cents per kilowatt hour.
