Genesis Unveils Magma GT3 Concept And Steps Up To Hypercar Class At Le Mans

Genesis took center stage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Magma GT3 Concept and an evolved Magma GT Concept, marking a decisive push into the Hypercar era. Unveiled at a June 12, 2026 press conference inside the Circuit de la Sarthe, the Magma GT3 Concept is a clean-sheet GT3 racer designed solely to regulation compliance, not derived from a road car. Genesis also showcased a redesigned interior for the Magma GT, including a twin-cockpit layout and analog timekeeping-inspired instruments. The company confirmed the GMR-001 Hypercar, powered by a V8 hybrid and aided by two four-cylinder WRC units, will compete in the 2026 WEC season, facing Porsche, Ferrari, Toyota, and BMW as primary rivals.
