Giants vs. Cardinals: Which Arizona team is the real one?

Ahead of the New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals matchup, Seth Cox of SB Nation’s “Revenge of the Birds” joined a weekly “5 questions” discussion about what Arizona really looks like. Cox said the Cardinals’ offense showed promise in numbers—52 pass attempts for 280 yards and two passing touchdowns against the 49ers—but the production came largely through a ground-game-style approach rather than explosive plays. He also noted Arizona’s tendency to play not to lose, often resulting in “death by thousand cuts” scenarios, particularly in deficits. On the Cardinals’ draft pick Jeremiyah Love, Cox described fan sentiment as mostly positive on his talent, but divided on whether the selection fit a roster with one of the NFL’s weakest defenses. He suggested Jermaine Eluemunor could address a right-tackle need and discussed Mike LaFleur’s short leash given the Cardinals’ average head-coach tenure since moving to Arizona.
