Gordon Murray's First T.50s Niki Lauda Is Nearly Ready For The Track

The next phase of Gordon Murray's hypercar program arrives at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the track-only T50s Niki Lauda is set for a public unveiling. Chassis 1, finished in white with a South African flag-inspired livery, honors Murray’s 1974 F1 victory at the South African Grand Prix. The car is powered by a 3.9-liter Cosworth V12 producing 761 horsepower at 11,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox and a center-seated driver. Aerodynamics deliver up to 2,645 pounds of downforce, and only 25 examples will be built, with a starting price around $3 million. Murray will also showcase the S1 LM design model, a Le Mans GTR XP1 prototype, and the T.33 Spider VP12.
