xCruzo Brief
John Giusti, 46, and Brent Rosenkranz, 42, were photographed on a hiking and camping trip along Bright Angel Creek days before flash flooding killed them in the Grand Canyon. Their families, including Texas chiropractor Giusti and martial artist Rosenkranz, identified the bodies after remains were recovered, according to Hannah Barricks, a liaison for the families. A third friend, Timothy Smith, 53, was with them but remained missing as of late Monday. The men last spoke to family on Thursday and reached their campsite Friday near the bottom of the canyon. Saturday’s Aug. 29 deluge triggered rescues and evacuations, with 45 rescued by sunset and 37 evacuated Sunday.
