High-speed chase, crash leads to arrest of 3 suspects: MPD
High-speed chase, crash leads to arrest of 3 suspects: MPD describes a Memphis, Tennessee operation that ended with three arrests after a pursuit and collisions. Officers responded to an aggravated assault call in the 900 block of Ridgeway Loop Road at about 4:30 p.m., where a witness reported seeing a black Jeep Grand Cherokee occupied by a masked driver and a passenger after vandalism of other cars. The Jeep then intentionally struck a security guard’s vehicle, and the guard was taken to a hospital in non-critical condition. Later, around 10:30 p.m., task force members identified a Jeep Cherokee believed to be linked to the earlier incident and followed it to Oak Bark Drive. Two suspects shifted to a maroon 2011 Nissan Altima, which led to a high-speed chase that ended in a crash on Winchester Road and Millbranch Road; the driver fled on foot but was caught. Authorities recovered three guns in the Nissan, one later confirmed stolen.
