Honda Odyssey Camera Recall Impacts Over 300,000 Vehicles
Honda Odyssey Camera Recall Impacts Over 300,000 Vehicles reports a recall affecting certain 2018–2020 model-year Honda Odyssey minivans in the U.S. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says rearview cameras may fail to display an image when the transmission is shifted into reverse due to water ingress that can damage the camera’s circuit board. NHTSA estimates 325,588 vehicles are potentially affected. Honda will replace the rearview camera at no cost to owners to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 for rear visibility, with owner notification letters expected to begin August 24, 2026. The recall number is 20V438 and expands a prior recall covering 212,068 vans from 2019–2020, adding 113,520 2018-model units. Honda will install Magna-produced replacement cameras from Sony designed to reduce water intrusion.
