Honda recalls 118,000 cars in Canada to repair their tire-repair kits

Honda is recalling more than a million vehicles in the United States and Canada because a defect in the tire-repair kit could pose a safety risk. Canada confirms the campaign covers 118,574 vehicles, while the U.S. NHTSA lists 1,049,883 recalled. The Canadian-campaign models are the 2023–2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid and 2023–2026 Honda Accord Hybrid, with the U.S. list adding the 2025–2026 CR-V Fuel Cell EV. Eight injuries have been reported linked to the kit defect, prompting a cross-border safety campaign and a coordinated recall effort.
