Hyundai recalls 96,300 Tucson vehicles over display software flaw
Hyundai recalls 96,300 Tucson vehicles over a display software flaw, pulling units from U.S. roads after an instrument panel issue was linked to elevated crash risk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the affected models include certain 2025 and 2026 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles. NHTSA warned that when an instrument panel goes dark, key information such as vehicle speed and active warning indicators may disappear. Hyundai will remedy the problem with a software update delivered remotely or via a dealer visit, and owners will not be charged. The recall follows other recent Hyundai safety actions in the U.S., including a 421,078-vehicle recall tied to a forward-collision braking risk, plus recalls for Elantra Hybrid overheating and potential loosening seat belt anchors across multiple models.
