Hyundai’s new electric hatchback, the IONIQ 3, has opened orders in the UK and Europe and is positioned as a budget-friendly long-range EV. Hyundai says UK interest is “extraordinary,” with more people registering interest before launch than for any other Hyundai model in the UK. Pricing starts at about £18,495 OTR (around $25,000) with the £3,750 Electric Car Grant included, using a 42 kWh battery for up to 213 miles of WLTP range. A 61 kWh extended-range version starts at £21,995 (about $29,000) for up to 308 miles. It also debuts the Pleos Connect infotainment system.
