Iowa couple injured in Wisconsin motorcycle crash

An Iowa couple suffered severe injuries after their motorcycle struck a deer on Friday afternoon in Grant County, Wisconsin. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported just before 3:45 p.m. along Highway 133 near Carter Lane in the town of Waterloo. Roger and Tammy Adkins, residents of Eldridge, Iowa, were traveling south on the highway when they hit the deer; the motorcycle then tipped over and slid roughly 75 yards. Both riders were ejected. The sheriff’s office said neither Roger nor Tammy Adkins was wearing a helmet, and both suffered serious injuries. They were transported to University Hospital in Madison by helicopter.
