Kia EV7 revealed as an upcoming midsize electric SUV

Kia is preparing to expand its electric lineup with an EV7, a new midsize electric SUV positioned between the EV6 and the three-row EV9. The plan is based on a leaked internal document from Kia’s Employment Stability Committee, which reportedly states that production of the “EV7” will proceed at the company’s Gwangju plant in South Korea. No further specs were provided in the leak. Kia’s EV roadmap was also outlined at its 2026 CEO Investor Day, where it said it aims to offer 14 EV models by 2030, with Europe targeting EVs at 66% of sales. Kia says a new EV platform could improve battery capacity and motor output.
