Kia Recalls Nearly 463K Vehicles. See the Affected Model

Kia recalls nearly 463,000 vehicles due to a potential fire risk linked to a seat defect, extending a related issue previously tied to a recall repair. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says the front power seat motor may overheat if a power seat slide knob is stuck or if an earlier 24V407 remedy was not performed correctly. The recall affects 462,869 units of the 2020–2024 Kia Telluride, with the campaign number listed as SC374, replacing 24V407. Car owners are instructed to park outdoors away from structures until repairs are completed. Kia will install an electronic fuse assembly at no cost, and notices are scheduled to mail Aug. 13.
