Škoda goes posh with Peaq seven-seat EV - and I've been in it
Škoda expands its electric SUV lineup by introducing the Peaq, a seven-seat EV positioned as the new flagship at the top of a five-model range. After the Epiq starts from £24,950, the Peaq is priced from £51,980, with order books set to open in September. The model targets larger, more premium family-oriented alternatives such as the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90, offering up to 390 miles of official range and a maximum 2,075 litres of luggage space. Built in Mladá Boleslav on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, it uses an 86kWh battery and two powertrains: Peaq 90 (rear-wheel drive, 282bhp) and Peaq 90x (four-wheel drive, 295bhp), with 0–62mph in 6.8 seconds. Dimensions include nearly 4,900mm length and 1,700mm height, supported by a 2,965mm wheelbase aimed at maximizing interior room.
